Arequipa – Reserva de Salinas y Aguada Blanca – Achoma

We will take the volcano route, climbing the slopes of the Chachani volcano, and having a formidable view of the Misti volcano and Picchu Picchu. Our path will cross the Pampa Cañahuas vicuña reserve, a high Andean habitat where they live and are protected. The highest point of our route will reach 4,900 meters above sea level. in the Patapampa pass, from where you can see the active Sabancaya volcano. Descent to the Colca Valley. We arrive at the town of Achoma for our lunch in a country restaurant. In this place, together with the community of Achoma, we will have activities with the family that will host us this afternoon, such as: ceremony of payment to Pachamama or payment to the land, sowing and participation in the typical dance of the Colca Valley el Wititi. Chivay – Valle del Colca – Cruz del Cóndor – Arequipa

At dawn, we will head towards the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. We will be waiting for the impressive flight of the condors, enormous Andean birds that are the symbol of the Andean countries. The view allows us to appreciate the great dimension of the canyon, considered one of the deepest in the world. We will visit the town of Maca and Yanque that still preserve their colonial churches. Lunch at a restaurant in the area. In the afternoon return to the city of Arequipa.

Reserva Nacional de Salinas y Aguda Blanca

This fabulous excursion begins in the morning. The first stop is for breakfast in the town of Chiguata, a place where the landscape and the Inca terraces make the visit an unforgettable experience. Then we will ascend to the viewpoint of the Pichu Pichu volcano, at 4,300 meters above sea level. From this point we will have another perspective of the Misti volcano and the city of Arequipa. Here we can see extraordinary fauna (vicuñas, llamas and alpacas) and flora (yaretales, queñuales). The next stop is the salt flat and the Salinas water bodies. Depending on the season, we can observe flamingos and optical illusions caused by the water mirrors typical of this natural area. We will head to the mini-volcano and the Lojen thermal baths to take a refreshing dip. On our return we will have lunch in the traditional town of Chiguata. After lunch we will return to the city of Arequipa. Transfer to the airport.
